This bag is bulletproof
I received this bag for my 40th birthday, so over 13 years ago. After over a decade of hard use, it still looks and functions as brand new. It is especially useful with compression and dopp add-ons, and is a perfect long-weekender road trip bag.

So, I work in the Oil and Gas industry, Decommisioning wells, platforms, and pipelines. Over the years I've been through many backpacks and briefcases.....none of which has held up to the rigors of our mode of travel (offshore supply vessels, crew boats, helicopters, etc), not to mention the handling of bags from personnel who may or may not have really dirty gloves on, or who simply toss the bags about.
I saw the Tri-star on the TB website and instantly felt that this bag will do the trick. In fact, I've only used it for a couple of hitches and when my co-workers saw it, they ordered it themselves. So, now 4 of us have this pure utilitarian bag.....I must admit to one thing though.....the bag is sooooo nice that I actually made a "cover bag' for it for added protection against abrasions and stains. I can put my 17" laptop, 3 small monitors, a full size keyboard, 3 styles of mice, BT speaker, mic, and all manner of cables in this thing...plus the Absolute strap is super cozy as well as the back pack straps....
I would say that the One thing I wish could happen is removal of the back pack straps, but hey, It's all good....

Last forever.
Probably 50 trips abroad, most week end between work and home, and home and girlfriend home
Looks like new. And everything work like the first Day that I bought it. Zippers included.
