LOVE this EDC
I got this bag thinking I could use for a little before needing it as a diaper bag for the grandkids. I have fallen in love with all the pockets, and places to "leash" items. The fact that there are so many pockets give me a place to have all my "must find" items! I usually change EDCs a few times a week but this one has been IT since I got it.

Excellent airline personal item
Got this as my airline personal item that goes under the seat. I wanted a decent sized bag that I could easily organize. Took it on its first trip and was thrilled. Easy to carry along with my backpack carry-on. Super easy to organize. And best of all, I could store it upright under the seat, plenty of room for my legs. And it’s compact enough to pull out and set on my lap if needed.

Maybe a great bag, but not as a diaper bag
Received this bag as a gift and the giver told me how popular it is, but I feel deeply irritated by it. It is not spacious enough to hold a fairly normal amount of things necessary for childcare - a few spare outfits, burp cloths, diapers. Even when being quite sparing with supplies I have difficult closing the bag. The side pockets are okay for separating feeding supplies from changing supplies, but the design of the bag makes it truly difficult to get what you need without things falling out or the pockets becoming difficult to close. The fact that there’s no easy way to hang it from a stroller and the true pain of trying to carry it on your hip when you have to carry a baby carrier… to be honest this bag has been awful for me as a new parent, I deeply dislike it and am noticing most of the positive reviews seem to come from folks who aren’t actually using it as a diaper bag.

Great knitting bag
I bought this specifically for knitting projects when traveling. It easily holds enough supplies for a sweater and pattern and various notions with room to spare. I got a Marathon Messenger a few months ago and Parental Unit is much nicer. The messenger bag tends to bulge in an odd way when. you stuff a lot into it but Parental Unit holds its shape much better.
