I got this bag because I was going to a festival and they allowed a small belly bag or crossbody bag to enter through the fast check through the entrance and this bag fit the size and what I needed for my money and my personal stuff, including my large iphone old 14 Pro Max. With a small clip attached to the side for my hat when not in use the bag was perfect! It also looks great as a small crossbody clutch bag when going out in the evening. I bought the black bag so I could use it in a dressier environment and changed up the strap to a cotton pattern wide strap from a Pom Bag I already had that came with different straps. This kind of strap didn’t slip & slide around as much and the TB strap does. I’ve never used it with the back “tunnel” channel on the back to attach to a belt, I think it hangs better with the strap. I did purchase the waist belt strap but I felt more secure in the crossbody strap, especially in a Porta Pottie at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in SF which is where I needed a bag just this size. And the festival was AWESOME, by the way!!!!
Another note, I didn’t find the little pockets in the bag useful as all, so I never pt anything in them, but I used many key straps in the bag to attach my wallet and my TB zipped pouches to the O-rings to make sure nothing fell out of my bad and totally secure. I love that feature! It saved my butt when my wallet DID fall out and I noticed it dangling — my wallet is a PacSafe RFID zip around wallet, which stayed…

Just the right size and holds quite a lot. I call this my little BigBag. Only negative the interior is black making it difficult to find items especially if the light is dim.
